Our white paper, Understanding Standby Power Energy Penalties, provides a definition for standby power in vehicles and equipment and how the use of a vehicle or machine impacts its energy usage.
To reduce energy consumption in our vehicles and equipment new power train components must be designed. To design these systems a complete energy usage audit needs to be done to better understand what to optimize and where to focus develop efforts. This paper is just a starting point and will need to be expanded as more information becomes available.
